Emergency Services Nurse Manager - Full-Time
Location: Sanford, NC
Level: Mid-Level
Annual Salary Range (Based on experience): $65K+
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years supervisory experience in the ED
Associate’s degree is required
BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required
NC OEMS Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree (BSN) is preferred
Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state is required
Job Description
Assists the Director of the unit with organizing, directing, and supervising the operational functions within the Emergency Department.
This includes policy and procedures are followed; safe staffing levels are maintained; supplies and equipment are at sufficient levels; and efficient patient throughput is managed.
Possesses comprehensive knowledge of clinical care, educational requirements required by NCOEMS and performance improvement processes.
Assumes hospital emergency management/preparedness responsibilities for TJC standards.
Engages in ongoing quality and performance improvement, invests in lifelong learning for staff professional development and assures employees complete required annual competencies.
Maintains own professional growth and development in nursing leadership and required licensure.
Communicates important information to the Director of the unit and the CNO as needed.
As such, the responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following activities: Staff development, evidence-based clinical practice; personnel resource/productivity management; fiscal management; patient quality, safety and performance improvement; and regulatory compliance.
